I think they have to stay within the confines of context. Heard opened that door when she said Depp pushed Moss down the stairs. That may have limited their ability with regards to open line of questioning.

I don't think they can bring in exes for that reason. Personally, I think it is very relevant. Abusers have history. They have a pattern. The behavior PRIOR to hitting is very distinct. By that I mean prior to before they hit the first time.

I noticed they did not call her father either. Her father and mother, before she passed, sent him texts in SUPPORT of him. They told him it was the lawyers who insisted on the TRO in prelude to the divorce. TO me, that is pretty relevant.

Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis have both spoken positively of their relationship with Depp. It's too bad that they're not allowed to testify. I think, but am not sure, that because they may have came out in some way as having seen Amber's previous testimony with the Australia issue or her op-ed, and that automatically disqualified them?
The ONLY reason they were able to bring Moss in is because Heard opened that door. That's why, when she mentioned the incident, Depp and his lawyer smiled.

It is a tear down process basically. No one will stay with someone who smacks them around right off the bat. Abusers have a process of bringing a person down, making them think they deserve the abuse. I am sure you have heard the phrases, no one will love you the way I do, no one could EVER love you etc. They will start picking apart your looks, your mannerisms and habits. Making you NOT like yourself so you will begin to believe the stuff they tell you. Mess with your head too. I have a hard time wearing make-up because my ex would ask me WHO I was earing make-up for. When I didn't wear make-up, WHY aren't you trying to look good for me etc.
The MOST interesting is abusers' want you AWAY from people that care about you. They can't do the stuff they want to with people around. Depp moved them in to his penthouses. Took them to parties and events. Stuff like that. -

I have a friend going through this at the moment, thankfully he hasn't been violent that I know of but I know she doesn't tell us the whole story. He has done a real number on her confidence and her confidence in her ability as a parent. He keeps telling her she's useless, how he doesn't want her BUT spends a huge amount of time at her door harassing her. -

Also!!! You know how she said he hit her with a cast?? I WAS hit with a cast. I will see if I can find the pictures. Cast material CUTS. Especially if he was hitting her viciously like she claimed. I was pretty surprised that was not brought up.

Oh god, you poor thing, you're okay now aren't you?
One of the things I recall when a colleague was telling us about her abusive partner was how many people said "Why didn't you just leave?" and she explained how he'd made her terrified, alienated her from her family and friends and any support, she had nowhere to go and four children who depended on her.
I think anyone who has been through or knows someone who has been through Dv finds AH's testimony unconvincing to say the least. -

I am good now! I have even gone to get women out of home situations. Men who are abusers are cowards, seriously. The power comes in the year down. Pretty funny having a 110 pound woman storm a house

That was quick testimonial. I should have moused to the beginning of the timeline. She was the first witness at start of the day and there was no cross examination. Weird.
