Am I the only one who noticed that Renee O'Connor shares the same hometown as another ReneeRenee Zellweger. This seems very coicendental(sp?) especially since Katy has a very small population

My own personal theory is that Katy, Texas was an area of heavy UFO traffic between the years 1967-1972, and that both the Renees were seeded by a master race of Julliard-trained Venutians planning to overrun the world with a race of cute, small (both Renees are under 5'5") blonde actresses. Either that, or maybe Renee was just a really popular name in that area back then?

yup renee zelwegger went to Katy High, theres a picture of her with the cheerleaders, with all the other cheerleader pictures, i saw it once when i was taking drivers ed at that school. while those two renees went to Katy and Taylor, i went to their rival Mayde Creek.never actually met either girl though.

I know this is a really old thread, BUT I just wanted to say that I grew up in Katy, went to Katy HS (Where Renee Zellweger went) and now go to UT (where Renee Zellweger also went, unbeknownst to me) AND I was friends with Kady Malloy in our late elementary/ junior high days and I just got really excited that my home town has found favor on this message thread! haha!
I'm always happy to run into a Kady fan.
Or a Renee fan, for that matter.

I happen to be a rare person who grew up in Katy and crossed paths with both Renees. I lived next door to ROC in Nottingham for about 9 years and went to the same church as the Zellwegers in "downtown" Katy. I was a few years younger than them both so we weren't friends or anything. In both cases I knew their mothers better than the eventual actresses. I've marveled at the coincidence extensively.
ROC actually went to HSPVA for her 10th and 11th grade years, but Taylor for 9th and 12th. -

Wow, to cross paths with both, though to me thats a little more than just crossing paths, thats wild! lucky you! How old was ROC when you lived next door? Her mother seems like the nicest person, warm and friendly, was she? Ever met her brother Chris?

I graduated from Taylor and my world history teacher told us that she had Renee (O'Connor) in one of her classes. She knew Renee was going to be famous, so she had her autograph something before she graduated.
