Hot or not? I think the word I will use is SEXY. I first saw her in HEX. Recently I watched Lost In Austen which made me watch HEX again. I think for me it is the 'Plain Jane' look that I find attractive. She is the first person I have seen that did not look ugly when they cried. Now that is ACTING. Looking forward to see her someday on the BIG SCREEN.

She's really improved in recent years, as she's got better parts. Thought she was fantastic in Lost in Austen, and has an attractive yet unique look. There's probably not much chance, but I think it'd be great if she got some big Hollywood roles (and managed not to cave in to bad Hollywood stereotypes) She'd make a wonderful antidote to some of the generic so-called 'beautiful' actresses in movies at the moment.

haha which parts, I dunno she's just develoiped into a beautiful young woman really, blossomed.
I like what Hedgehog said way before about that indefinable something.
I'd say she has plenty of sex appeal and desirability - partly the girl next door thing over and above outright obvious beauty.
She is still beautiful but has a look that suggests she could play both more and less desirable roles, I can see how she's got it.
Also I bet she radiates charisma too -

She's hot for me, but has improved as she's got older, she has that certain sparkle that isn't about conventional beauty, and it's the reason she got a breakthrough, as well as being a good actress - which she is, she has a look which enables her to play a variewty of roles, the indefianable something a casting director saw when she got her big break

about collagen implants and didn't see any justification for that. Then I came across the following photo of her and it has left me a bit less sure. I don't know when it was taken or what she was appearing in at the time- does anyone know? Personally I don't like her look in this one:

Yes there are some good photos there, thanks. However, I must be honest that her recent appearance in
Atlantis
didn't do anything for me- it looked like they dressed her in an old potato sack, which was very unflattering. Now compare this to
Rome

Polly Walker was just a total goddess in that. Was it just the Roman world that was so sexy or could they have done something similar for Atlantis too? I don't think Atlantis is going to do for Jemima what Rome did for Polly, which is a great shame. It looks like they deliberately toned down Atlantis for a pre-watershed audience. Presumably they can get far greater worldwide TV sales that way, but personally I lost interest after the first few episodes. The lack of any believable sexual tension between Jemima as Medusa and co-star Mark Addy as Hercules (her supposed romantic interest) was a major factor, although I don't blame either of the actors. Jemima proved in
Lost in Austen
that she is most certainly capable of sexual tension in a romantic lead role if she is just given the right part. This wasn't it as far as I was concerned. -
