Absolutely. I liked him in
Die Hard
but let's also remember his early roles:
The Crimson Kimono, Bridge to the Sun, Flower Drum Song
, appearances in many TV shows, including two episodes of
The Outer Limits
. I imagine as an Asian actor his opportunities were limited but he still managed a long career and was always a complete professional.

I remember him as Admiral Nagumo in Midway, as well as in Die Hard.
