Just noticed that Mr. Shipp is from Norfolk, Virginia.

You really need to learn what irony is
If his name is Shipp and his hometown produced tanks, that would be irony.

I thought your comment was going to be about his first and middle names! John Wesley was the founder of the Methodist Church. I grew up Methodist (attend a Presbyterian church now), so his name has always caught my attention.
If I recall, John's father was a Baptist minister, so I find it amusing that his name is that of the founder of Methodism.
