Thats sad. I guess its because shes a performer and gets stressed out. I dont find it a very attractive quality its not a huge deal to me. Its still worse than drinking or smoking weed in my opinion, and is unhealthy for others around you.

Actually drinking's not that bad. It's only bad if you drink waaay too much. Smoking's actually more dangerous if you ask me. There may be a lot of things that are worse out there in this real world and I personally think smoking's one of them. My uncle died on the night of Mother's day this year because he had lung cancer. He smoked about 4 packs a day. So, I would rethink about what you said. Hope you take no offense to this. I'm just saying.

There is a huge difference between drinking (begin an alcoholic) and drinking (enjoy a cocktail once in a while).
Being an alcoholic=addicted to alcohol is way worse than being addicted to nicotine, but being addicted to nicotine is way worse then drinking a bit. That's the problem with alcohol. It can be totally harmless or a really bad problem.
And of course there are a lot of things in the real world which are worse than smoking, but what kind of lame excuse is that? There are a lot more things in the real world which are worse than hurting someone (e.g.: killing thousands of innocent people with a bomb), but that doesn't mean that hurting someone is harmless or that we all should go through the world beating people up.
In the same way, just because there are a lot of things which are worse than smoking, doesn't mean that smoking is good or that criticizing it is not allowed. It's unhealthy, it is - which is one of the main problem - unhealthy to all the people around you (at least if you are inside while smoking) and that means that "not smoking" is better than "smoking", which justifies its criticism. -

Well.. you need to think of the social consequences of drinking and the potentional danger of drunk drivers and brawlers.. Compared to those, smoking is actually a rather harmless activity (don't get me wrong I don't condone smoking or anything, just relating it to potentially more risky activities).

Eee gad! You sound like my mother! Why do people think it's A-Ok for them to lecture people on how to live? What, is this not America anymore?
How do you account for the people in their 90s who still smoke? It's a dice roll based on genetics, that's it. What about the innocent people killed by drunk drivers? Far fewer people killed by driving while smoking. Geez, leave people alone! -

There's as much proof that you can get oral, esophageal, and stomach cancer from drinking as there is that you can get cancer from smoking. Plus, it's very rare for smoking to cause someone to drive the wrong way down the interstate.
