He was pushing mens underwear in the mid to late 1970s.I believe it was for Fruit of the Loom.His likeness even appeared in store displays well into the early 1980s.At the time I had no idea who this guy was pushing underwear.

It must have been one of the worst casting decisions in all of marketing history.Whatever Terry Thomas had in common with American underwear is quite the mystery.Ford even had him in a commercial for the 1980 LTD comparing its quiet against a Rolls Royce (Ford did that in 1965 for the Galaxie/LTD,and again for the 1975 Granada).That one I could see.He could play the part of stuffy Brit.But what a stuffy Brit was doing promoting drawers,is beyond me.
