OK, the actors on saturday night live in my opinion are not given great stuff to act upon in the first place. It has gotten so bad, and I don't believe it's the actors fault. Keenan was hilarious on nickelodeon. Thats because the writers were good. If you give a comedic actor something unfunny to act out, they would have to be a comedic genious to make it good. I think it's not his fault, it's the writers. Saturday night live has been on a steady un-funny decline since the mike meyers years ended, anyone remotely agree?

Actually his background on nick, and his natural way of acting gives me that feeling of something raw and dirty taking place. My dad agrees.

actually i remember hearing that if you are cast onto snl the only way to stay on is by coming up with your own skits/characters. now yea of course they have writers to help you build on an idea.. but when the idea and the character sucks and its from a unfunny actor what can u build on? i do believe keenan is gettin taken from behind by lorne michaels.. that's the only explanation..

He was also the straight man/jerk in K&K, think Rogan on Pineapple Express..Their counterpart's wacky antics make them stick out awkwardly and it's on that basis the straight man can too be a gut buster, otherwise they're probably just going to look like inconsiderate jerks. Kenan really isn't a comedian to me, him and Kel had good chemistry and I think that's what worked with him in the first place. Comedy is timing and subtlety, in my opinion it takes good actors to convey such under the surface stuff and I think Kenan is thinking too much about "How can I try to be funny?" and not enough.."How can make this character work?"

His impressions are really off on SNL. But I've been watching him since the early 90's and I know he has the talent to be funny.

tragically unfunny. bad timing, bad delivery. does better in the filmed segments. only does one decent impression (Cosby) and it's not that good. otherwise they just stick a wig on him and he talks loud. muggs constantly, desperate for laughs. needs to leave SNL as soon as possible. dead weight on the show. good in movies though.

He was great on All That (which in its prime was almost better than SNL is now). but he doesnt seem to work as well on SNL.

ah finally a group of people that agree with me. i thought i was the only one that found him unfunny. he adds nothing to the comedy sketches. finesse on the other hand is a bit outrageous. has great characters.
i'm hoping he gets booted off SNL. i don't know what michaels was thinking.

I thought years ago that Kenan and Kel would be on SNL, yet for some reason Kel isn't. Kind of seems like NBC only bought half the act and in this case the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

VERY TRUE!!! And I also agree that they really could have used a duo like Kennan and Kel to build the show up again. Sort of like how popular the show was when Wayne's World was on it. Many people watched it just for Wayne's World with Mike Meyer's and Dana Carvey.
