Have you ever had seafood in unseasoned batter with a drizzle of lemon and salt and vinegar?
They choose not to season it for a reason. You can add flavor afterwards, but you can't remove flavor from the fryer once you've put seasoned batter in there.

Precisely. Sometimes less is more and in the case of seafood, I hate burying the flavor beneath a ton of herbs and spices.
Seasoning and spicing food was invented to hide the odour and flavor of rotting meat. Fresh food should already be full of flavor.

Yes, and it's bland. Only time I don't want a lot or any seasoning is for steamed lobster or maybe snow crab.
Fried shrimp needs to be seasoned.
Have you ever had well seasoned Louisiana seafood?

Fried shrimp needs to be seasoned.
If you're saying it needs to be enhanced with herbs and/or spices, I agree. However, you can do that through dips and/or seasoning once it's out the fryer. Why taint the oil?

Yes and I enjoyed it. I love all seafood. They really know how to cook in the far east too. However, sometimes I like it simple.

That's not tainting. Tainting woud be ruining it. It doesn't ruin the flavor of anything. Just enhances things that might otherwise be bland like hush puppies or fries.
There's also the option of using another fryer.
