    We agree to disagree.
You need to watch Kristen Stewart in CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA. Kristen Stewart won The French Oscar(Ceasar) for her acting in CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA.
Kristen Stewart is the most underrated and the finest actress of her generation.
Finally, My Two Favorite Actresses are Emma Watson and Kristen Stewart. I love both women.
SIR RIDLEY SCOTT, LUC BESSON, MICHAEL BAY, ZACK SNYDER, DCCU, FIFTY SHADES TRILOGY, etc.

To a large extent she is still in the shadow of Harry Potter and still riding on it's fame. Remove Harry potter and what you have is a character actress who could not carry a movie on her own say like how kristen Stewart or even Emma stone can. I think currently she is too guarded and too precious of how she is perceived by the public for her to be a good actress. Maybe her new roles my change that but it's a big maybe. At the moment to me she is like an English Rachel McAdams.

She didn't have the time to do leading roles after her Harry Potter years because she had her university and many other projects. Now she is an actress as her first and her basic job and a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. In addition she has her first leading role with Colonia this year and a very baity supporting role in Regression. She just finished the5b4 principal photography of a monster big budget musical Disney production with Beauty and the Beast and she leads an insane cast, plus she is about to start filming The Circle next month alongside Tom Hanks and she is the lead too. She is about to prove us that she can handle an entire film on her back.Wait and see!

I like Emma but I don't think Regression or Colonia are going to do her any favours and maybe instead of looking at directors she should read scripts thoroughly first. Secondly I should like to see her handling some regional English accents before she tries her hand at anymore American accents. For the life of me I can't see Emma doing a Liverpool Accent, which Rupert successfully managed, or a cockney accent. To be a successful actress you have to be able to conjure up many different accents.
Hopefully BatB will do better and perhaps The Circle too. However in her shoes I would definitely do at least a full year at RADA and which will either make her or otherwise. If she carries on as she is I can only see her career going downhill.

She got decent reviews for both Regression and Colonia. She has two big movies coming up. Her career and her American accent is fine. It isn't stopping solid directors from hiring her. Last thing she needs to do is model her career after Ruperts.

I wasn't saying she should follow Rupert's career, what I did say was that he could do regional accents which I've yet to hear Emma do. I like her but to further her career she needs meatier roles. Maybe she has some lined up which we don't know about yet. I've yet to see those decent reviews for Regression I've seen many where the film has been totally panned although most blame the script and direction rather than the acting and the same applies to Colonia which as of yesterday nobody had signed up to5b4 screen it worldwide but that is not Emma's fault I grant you. The trouble with following "good" directors is that all are human and can produce some real turkeys at times. As I said, sometimes it's better to read the scripts thoroughly.
However, if you can give me links to good reviews on the acting in both films I would be more than pleased to read them.

Colonia didn't get great reviews but Emma was praised in most of them.

Emma Watson (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) continues to make a successful transition as an adult actress while Daniel Brhl (Rush) for some reason remains an underrated performer.
                        http://thetfs.ca/2015/09/17/tiff-2015-review-colonia/
Watson anchors the film, and its refreshing to see a work depicting a woman attempting to rescue her boyfriend, instead of the usual damsel-in-distress scenario. Also, having her do so in a relentlessly and depressingly misogynistic hellhole adds a layer of depth and greater audience investment.
                        http://www.digitaljournal.com/a-and-e/entertainment/review-tiff-2015-colonia-is-a-battle-of-wills-with-no-clear-winners/article/444200
The core cast are excellent choices for their respective parts. Brhl is no stranger to politically charged narratives. Daniel wears his idealism on his sleeve to the point that his need for justice repeatedly puts them in danger. Watson is entirely convincing as the heroine coming to the rescue of her true love, which is a fittingly feminist take on a traditional narrative. Lena risks everything to save Daniel from an unknown fate, repeatedly putting her life in danger to get one step closer to her goal. The resolve Watson radiates is formidable. Nyqvists commitment to playing the cruel authoritarian is most believable, which makes it doubly disturbing.
                        http://www.themarysue.com/tiff-freeheld-colonia/
Nyqvist is somewhat scary as Schafer, but his performance feels like an actor playing up cult leader clichs weve seen in too many TV dramatizations. Brhl is generally solid, although even he cant play the man pretending to have brain damage without being embarrassed. Watson too, who has grown into an excellent adult actress, is pretty good, even if her character looks too made up considering the hardships shes put through. But both actors have to work harder than should be necessary due to some very clunky, melodramatic dialogue.
these are the ones i came across. Most of them criticize movie but not the acting so much. Some more I read where they thought Emma and Bruhl were wasted on this script. So think its not a bad start..

These ones are based on TIFF screening. I think Bruhl got few harsh ones, Emma got it easyNot too harsh nor high praises 🙂

Regression & Colonia did not live up to its expectations. I don't think either film will get a wide release.
Beauty and the Beast will show her box-office potential since she will be the lead. If it is a big hit, then most likely, she will get more roles (hopefully more mature roles).
The Circle seems like a good choice. I really hope this does good for her & isn't a miss like Colonia.

                                    Emma Watson is waiting.
                                    She needs a big hit.
The only good news is BEAUTY AND THE BEAST(3D) is going to be a huge box office success and that could be great for the future of Emma Watson.
