Well if you don't find the right person to have kids with, then don't have kids. Period. That is why I have yet to have children. It is not that I do not want to, but I would not bring any into this world without stability like I was raised. Also I have had a physical problem which prevents me from easiness of conceiving. I always knew for almost 16 years now that I really could not conceive a child, since I was a late teen. Maybe someday I will adopt if I ever found someone, because there are a lot of needy souls out there that do not have loving homes.

That's very selfless of you.

That's very humble and noble of you.

People who don't breed are in minority and will always be, so there's no need to "worry" that human would go extinct because of that. But well, yeah, considering the way people have been building and "regenerating" everything, for this planet and most of the other species it would be the best to be "human free".

A lot of people who are childless either couldn't have any or just don't want them. Maybe Betty doesn't want any. A lot of famous people don't have any kids. And I agree with one of the posters here.having kids doesn't guarantee happiness or take care of you when you get oldthere are people in nursing homes whose kids don't visit them at all.

I understand not having children. I'm a 33 year old man and have never been married or even wanted children. I don't care for them, whether they are related or not. Just not for me. Having children is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole. I'd rather be executed. If2000 I had children you would see me on the 10 o'clock news being arrested for murder. Don't need any more of those people around.

I think it's good when someone knows for sure they don't want children. Some people have them then find out after having them it's not all they thought it would be. I never judge someone by if they have children or not.

Not everyone wants or can have kids. Nothing wrong with that. I don't want kids and I'm perfectly happy.

Too bad not having kids was the majority and those who wanted kids was the minority.
If anything way too many people have kids that shouldn't. WAY too many.
We as a nation can't even take care of ourselves. Crappy healthcare, over crowded prisons you name the problem, we have it. If there was 50% less population there'd be a lot more to go around for those already here.
People don't think that way when they have kids. They just want kids.and poofthey have one.

That's just what I was thinking. I read an interview that Betty White gave. She said that her first two husbands were very nice men but she was very involved with her career and didn't give enough to her marriages. If she wasn't that interested in her husbands, it's doubtful that she was thinking about motherhood!
And she was over forty when she married Alan Ludden. A lot of women don't want to start families in their forties. I think Marlo Thomas was over forty when she married Phil Donahue. Both men had children and I guess it's enough for some women to be the devoted stepmom.
Betty White has had a long, fantastic career. I admire all the work she has done with animals over the years. I'm sure her life is very full. -

I can totally understand why people don't want kids. Like 10 years ago I had a friend, she had a boy of 3 years. Sometimes I was babysitting him. And not just with me even with her he was very exhausting. Crying and whining nonstop, very hard to please. He needed attention like every second. That would be too exhausting for me 24/7. And I would have better things to do than watching my kids playing pot hitting or egg-and-spoon-race etc.. I like kids and babies are cute but I wouldn't want to care about them and stand the noise and the stress every day.
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
