And a bit off topic: isn't it kind of unusual for Jewish parents to name their child after a relative (or anyone else for that matter), who is still alive at the time, when a child is born. And one of her brothers is named after his father (Ira David Wood IV).
I mean it's not forbidden, but not common I guess.

I think she is Jewish to all except the reform movement. As for not knowing Hebrewwell very few Jews knew Hebrew until the Zionist movement began and Hebrew was, having been injected with more than a few new phrases, revived.

Jews started learning Hebrew in 70 AD. It was put-forward by Rabbi leaders as a way for all the Jews to know the rules. At the time, most Jews were illiterate farmers. Knowing Hebrew, isn't really a part of being Jewish, and it never was. It's a pathway to something else.

I believe Evan's mother converted when Evan was a teenager. So Evan's brother Ira David Wood IV is not Jewish, and technically, neither is Evan, but she considered herself to be since she was raised that way. Now she considers herself to be neither Christian (her father's religion) nor Jewish (her mother's religion).

Jesus Christpeople. If she is not a Jew by blood, she is not Jewish. Pure and simple. You can convert all the way you want but you can't trick your blood. No real Jew would call 'converted' person a real Jew. This is something you can't buy. So her faith is Judaism because she choose it. Elizabeth Banks converted to Jewish because her husband is Jewish but it will never make her Jew. Her roots are different.

Well, there is lots of Jews where I live. The real ones, not just descendants. They do accept converted people to have their faith and all but they also say those people will never be 'real' Jews by blood because It's something you have to inherit and frankly It couldn't be more obvious to me. If I was Italian blood(for example) for a generations and one day decided convert to Jewish, you really think I could be Jewish as Jews are2000? No. It will never be real.
