I haven't extensively followed this case and not that interested, but I see Maxwell as being used as a scapegoat.
Its just convenient due to era context for these girls to start up with their agenda now. They knew what they were doing at the time and would have been handsomely rewarded for their participation.
I am not concerned so much about the feelings of 17yr old tramps, who by many technical accounts were still legal and would have more than likely been prideful and boastful too about their experiences at the time.

I am not sure about a scapegoat as much as trying to figure out what really happened. Some of the girls were younger, like 14 or so. I do believe there is sexual abuse going on and Epstein was found guilty in 2008. I think she knew what was going on.
My niece got involved with a lot of bad **** 10 years ago and it was started with a woman she trusted. I try to not let my experience with that muddle my thoughts on it. I do not think this woman is clueless.
What I do find interesting is she allowed them to finally catch her after so long. I think she already struck a deal and this is all for show to 'end' it. -

Yes, I agree if as young as 14, but these are also issues with the privileged elite and like you say just for show. We have to ask as well, how damaged are these individuals too from their experience?
Polanski's 13yr old "victim" as reported, never herself felt like a victim and has claimed as such over and over again. She knew what she was doing and it wasn't her first time with adult men she had lied too. Not to mention her 19yr old bf she had at the time.
It is non-news really for me and Epstein is "allegedly" dead, (rumors of faking), and life offers experiences and opportunities that may not seem appropriate or appear moral, but this won't and can't EVER be curbed. Especially when the mechanisms of corruption from the top are involved.
Its all just an ideal ruse and diversion again to distract the herd from looking at what is really going on in the echelons of the dominating uber-wealthy. CV19 is another example.

I could see his death being faked. He knew far too much. EVERYTHING about his death is wonky, wonky…. WONKY.
I do agree MUCH of this is to distract from finding out what has really been going on with the elite. Where there is smoke, there is fire. All the names check the list too. I just don't think putting it on these girls. I feel they were groomed for all of it. Typically, these idiots prey on the kids that are easy to snare, older boyfriends included.
Besides the girls not being victims, I agree with the rest. I do think Ghislaine knew and helped. If that is true, she needs some form of punishment. -

Yes, kids are impressionable, even teens, but some DO know what they are doing like Samantha Geimer, but her mother groomed her and she gets away scot free.
If Maxwell has made a deal, I wonder what? It this gets publicized and the verdict isn't satisfactory, then it has to expose the bullshite.

Whatever they did to get rid of Epstein was not enough. They can't go after the elite men and women that committed the actual crimes, so it has to be her. She is not innocent but she also should not be taking the blunt of the fall. I am sure she will be compensated in some form.
Personally, I think they will say time served. Or get her on some smaller thing. I want to know why valets, pilots, maids etc aren't being held accountable. -

I'd say gag contracts and back to the elite and where big names will be implicated like PA, then its not going to wash for them as well. They get protection by their own laws, rules and regulations.

Of for sure gag orders. Nothing will happen to them or it would have already happened. THere are high up people and names involved. If each of them gave her $1,000,000 she will be a billionaire. I could do a few months in a posh jail for billions

I'm not so confident the bottom of this will ever be found, it will be surface skimming only.

I am confident the bottom of this will never be touched. We are gonna get a lot of "I don't recall' etc. NOTHING will be found out. I am guessing there will be other smaller fish for them to fry but it won't be the real creeps.
