Though I wouldn't say I was ever a huge fan of the Beatles, to be alive during that time would've been kind of neat. You know, to experience Beatlemania firsthand. To witness that and to witness the mania over Elvis would've been something to behold. Hasn't been a single musical act that managed to replicate the level of popularity as either the Beatles or Elvis Presley. I guess it helped since they first broke through around when TVs were becoming a common household item.
Going to go off on a little tangent here: I find it fascinating how the same band that recorded songs like "A Hard Day's Night" and "Twist and Shout" also recorded "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Across the Universe". They're the only band to completely switch their entire approach to music and remain just as popular as when they started. You got bands like Radiohead who went from making music with a very grunge sound to electronic post rock kind of stuff, but they didn't remain as popular as when they first broke through.

They and their music changed with the times and what was going on in the world.
I'd also have to agree that Tommy has a great theory…. One Word…

A babe in arms who grew up to be a Babe…
Oh, I can remember that as though it were a moment ago! Just don't ask me to remember what was going on five minutes ago!
I think my favorite is Rubber Soul. The White Album comes in a close second.
I really can't think of a least favorite. I'm a true blue fan…
