the thing you are missing is that pippen was drafted by the bull Jordan didnt ask him to be their pippen was a Bull from jump lebron showed america he doesnt have the toughness to lead a team to winning it it , now he did it in 2007 making to the finals, but i think thats why he stayed in Cleveland

I honestly think LeBron gave up in the playoffs. There is no way the reigning MVP for the past two years should be taking four shots in the fourth quarter (Orlando playoffs) or play that crappy for a bruise (Boston playoffs). And the Cavs offense went through LeBron 80-90% of the time, whether it was taking the shot or passing. If he's off, everyone else will be off. He needed to not when the championship, especially this year, because then he wouldn't have an excuse to create a dynasty in Miami, which has warmer weather and better party scene than Cleveland.

Can u imagine in Michael's day if he decided to call Charles Barkley and Karl Malone and say " hey guys, I can't win on my own, please let's get our own team together so we can win.
Dude, you are a prophet:

"Jamison's career numbers are better than Pippen's so just drop the whole Pippen thing okay?"
Pippen was one of the best defenders in the league when he played. The Bulls went to The Eastern Conference Finals without Michael Jordan, when he was off playing baseball.
Take Lebron off last years Cavs or Wade off last years Heat. Does either team make it to The Eastern Conference Finals? Think about it. -
Cinema_Lover — 15 years ago(July 22, 2010 04:35 AM)
Yeah but the Eastern conference in 1994 sucked. Back then it was really only the Knicks and an upcoming Orlando squad that would make it to the Finals in 1995, get swept and never show their faces around for years.

And the Eastearn conference didn't suck last year either? How is what he's saying any different than saying the only other teams in 2010 who were competing for a championship were the Celtics and the Magic.
And another thing the Bulls didn't make the ECF they lost to the Knicks in the Eastern Semis. -

Michael Jordan was given Scottie Pippen (HOFer) in his prime playing with him. Not to mention Horace Grant, Cartwright, Paxon, Rodman, etc.
Who was Lebron given? 37 year old Shaq? 33 year old Antawn Jamison (for hb68alf a season lol) ? The Cavs have known this off season was coming for a long time. ESPN has been talking about this off season for two years now!
Your analogy means nothing. -
tsiterp83 — 15 years ago(September 12, 2010 08:00 PM)
And yet Lebron, ended that season with the best record in the NBA. Everyone was talking about him facing Kobe in the Finals. When he fell short, all of a sudden it became he didn't have enough help? You people can not have it both ways.
Also he wasn't given Pippen in his prime. The Bulls traded for Pippen in the draft. And you make it sound like Pippen was instantly great. He wasn't. -
bonndiablo — 15 years ago(September 13, 2010 06:42 AM)
If you can't tell that there is a massive difference between the regular season and the playoffs, you know nothing about basketball and really shouldn't try to talk about it.
And Jordan did have Pippen in his prime! Pippen came into the league in 87-88 and they won six championships in the early/ mid 90's. The fact the Bulls traded for him in the draft means absolutely nothing to Jordan playing with him in his prime. He played for no other team but the bulls until 1998. Was Lebron given Shaq or Antawn Jamison in their prime? NOPE!! 37 years old and 33 years old respectively isn't a player in their prime.
Furthermore, Scottie Pippen is in the Basketball Hall of Fame. If you didn't lose all credibility with trying to make the regular season and the playoffs analogous, you certainly lose it if you are at all inferring Scottie Pippen isn't an incredible player. -

Weak. I know there is a difference between the regular season and the playoffs. But it's not like they're playing exhibition games. You would be retarded to think having the best record two seasons in a row shouldn't produce at least one trip to the Finals. Especially, when there have been 12 teams to have won at least 66 games in a season and 9 of them have gone on to win championships. There's no correlation? Stop talking out your ass. Why wouldn't the MVP be expected to at least make the Finals? Lebron couldn't even do that 2 seasons ago. He's made it to the Finals with a worse roster. How many times did Jordan lose when his team had the best record? If the seasons are so different wouldn't you think he would have lost at least one time? I love how people try to apply one thing to one person and not the other.
If other teams can pick up their games why can't Lebron? Anyone who knows anything about basketball knows he tanked those last games against Bost5b4on.
Besides you just admited it took 4 seasons before MJ won a championship with Pip. Pippen rarely started as a rookie. He was nonexistant in the playoffs agaisnt the Pistons until '91. If that was Lebron, he would have left by then. Also I never said Pippen wasn't great, I said he didn't come into the league as an all-timer. Learn to read. -

Lol, you really are a moron aren't you? Once again, the regular season is different from the playoffs. I apologize that you rate the regular season so highly
Why don't you ask the Dallas Mavericks what their regular season was worth with a 67-15 record, in 2006-07 best in the NBA. Why don't you ask them why they didn't even get past the first round? LOL!!!!!! Are they all retards? It is so obvious you know nothing about basketball.
And you are going to bring up Lebron making the Finals in 07 with the eastern conference in 2007 being what it was? The eastern conference in 2008-2010 with the Celtics having a big three was a completely difference scenario. Why wouldn't the MVP be expected to make the finals? LOL really? Poor Steven Nash and Dirk Nowitzki. It's amazing how horrible your comparisons are.
"If other teams can pick up their games why can't Lebron? Anyone who knows anything about basketball knows he tanked those last games against Boston. "
Oh I guess Kobe's last two championships were because he picked up his game right? LOL Or maybe it had nothing to do with the fact he called out his front office publicly and threw his teammates under the bus rofl!! Oh and he tanked the his last games in Boston huh? I didn't know his very last playoff game with the Cavs when he got a line of: 27 Pts, 19 Reb, 10 Ast, 9 To , was considered "tanking". Maybe he should have gone 6 for 24 in his last playoff game like Kobe, he would be the Finals MVP!!! LOL!!!!!

I realize you know nothing about basketball, so it's hard to argue with a moron such as yourself. I hate to tell you, but Lebron was in Cleveland for 7 years (not four) so your analogy, just like all your other analogies, mean nothing. How could he "have left by then" if he still would have been on the Cavs with 3 more years to go by your own math ? ROFL!! And I never said Pippen came into the league as an all-timer once Maybe you should learn to read? Oh wait, you are a phony talking about the NBA when you know nothing about it.
Tsiterp83 I realize your understanding of basketball comes from whatever cursory sportscenter episodes you have watched but please, just stop typing lol. It's obvious how ignorant you are, and that would be fine if you didn't try to act like you knew what you were talking about. I just can't continue with people who have proven themselves to be retarded (as you have in this thread) and get indignant about how little they know about the topic when someone calls out their ignorance with facts. -

Please don't talk to me about basketball knowledge. Considering that you think knowing the difference between regular season and playoffs in the NBA has some relationship to basketball knowledge shows your extent of it.
Wow, you pick the one time out of 12 scenarios where a team didn't make it past first round and you use that as conclusion that the regular season doesn't matter at all? Your reasoning makes as much sense as licking a metal pole in -20 degree weather. And I'm retarded? I know nothing about basketball? Keep telling yourself that, if it makes you feel better. Besides who do most people talk about being underserving of an MVP in the last 10 years? Oh yeah, Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki. People were suggesting the MVP should be decided after the playoffs, after that happened, essentially quetioning Dirk's MVP. But we question LeBron, oh my god it's blasphemy! Get off his nutsack.
And I brought the 07 Finals up to show evidence of what happens when he's motivated. He got to the Finals against essentially the same Pistons team that shut down Kobe two years ago.
"Oh I guess Kobe's last two championships were because he picked up his game right? LOL Or maybe it had nothing to do with the fact he called out his front office publicly and threw his teammates under the bus rofl!! Oh and he tanked the his last games in Boston huh? First off I'm not even talking about Kobe. I could give 2 $&!#$ about him. But how about Lebron's 3-14 no show after his team was at 2-2 in the series. And did you even watch his last game, he played with no sense of urgency never attacked the rim and was resigned to take outside shots, even giving the game to Boston when he waved off Brown when he asking his team to foul. And I love how you completely gloss over his 9 turnovers. But I'm sure you love looking at stats without looking at them in context, it's what you Lebron nuthuggers do.
"I realize you know nothing about basketball, so it's hard to argue with a moron such as yourself. Um I hate to tell you after those 4 years with Pippen, Jordan was in the league 6 years at that point with much more postseason experience, and heartbreak than Lebron at this point. No one knew what Jordan had in Pippen until he won a championship. Lebron's been in the league for 7 years, but he's been in the postseason only 5, but you can ignore that like you want to do. I'm not saying Lebron isn't great, I'm not saying he won't eventually be the greatest. But don't try to excuse his behavior as someone who was simply frustrated. Compared to MJ he's no where close the competitor. And where did I ever say that you said Pippen was an all-timer. But there's a difference between being given an HOFer in his prime and one who developed into one while playing with Jordan. Try again. You can name call all you want, but it doesn't cover the fact that your argument is weak.

Ok I was gonna let this slide since it's obvious your argument relies so predominately on opinion and I figured that your original unedited post (and for that matter your edited post as well) stands for itself showing this But have you honestly been thinking about this for over 24 hours?
Was this post so important to you in your. life. that you had to go back and edit it over 26 hours after you made it? LOL Obviously you have been thinking about our little spat and even you have to admit that speaks very little o111cf the importance of your affairs in your actual life.
I honestly feel sorry for you tsiterp83 if this argument with an anonymous person over the internet is so important that you care enough 26 hours later to edit your post. It's funny how most people with lives really could care less about what anonymous people say but you.. don't. lol.
Assuming "83" is your birth date, I feel even more sorry for you since you are at minimum 26 years old going on 27 and the fact that arguments you get into on the internet with people you don't know is important to you is one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard.
I gotta admit tsiterp83, I'm almost tempted to not call you retarded (despite it showing in your posts) and let you think (as you emphasized when you edited your post lol):
'All I read was "blah, blah, blah I have a weak argument so let's stoop to name calling and insults to make it seem like I'm winning. '
Whatever fantasy world you live in does scare me to an extent. If it matters this much to you that an anonymous person might "make it seem like I'm winning", then please take this "win" because it honestly appears you need it for your life.
You win and I lose tsiterp83!!! If this victory on the internet here is enough for your ego to keep your lips off the barrel of a shotgun, I can honestly say I've done my good deed for the day
