Alot of black people may have asian-ish eyes because they might have the trait somewhere way way back, it was common for blacks and asians to get together. My brother's skin is white, he has brown hair and both my parents are black.

That reminds me, once on Maury Povich, he was doing one of those "I'm not that baby's daddy" shows, and one of the moms was black and had a baby who had red hair and very fair, freckled skin. The man who she claimed was the father was also black, and somewhat understandably, he denied that it could be his child. But when the results came back, it turned out that he was in fact the father. I'd heard about that kind of thing, but until that show I'd never actually seen an actual case (that I knew of).
Anyway, some non-Asians sometimes just have Asian-ish eyes, and vice-versa.

My brother's skin is white, he has brown hair and both my parents are black. Obvously your family has white in your history tree, its common sense.. I ve seen black people with two black parents with very light skin and blue eyes, but somewhere down the line you guys have white, look up your family tree, maybe y our grandparents or something

i was born and raised in africa and i have asian looking eyes. all my life people have commented on them, even in my family. but after i came to the u.s. i started hearing are you asian? No! knowing how ethnocentric my tribe is i can tell you if i have asian in me i would know cause "scandels" like that do nott go unmentioned in my tribe. you can't llive down.
also fair skinned blacks with red hair and freckles is also common where i am from. i have uncles aunts and cousins like that. one of my cousin bizarely does not have freckles so most people always ask if we dyed her hair and the girl is six yrs old. i mean it would be crazy lto die a six yrs old childs hair , eyebrows and eyelashes. -

Tyra Banks is kind of the same way. Not in terms of her eyes but her skin. Everyone in her family including her mother, father, and brother are really dark-skinned. She did a show when she retired from modeling and had her whole family and her gradmother was the only light-skinned one in the whole bunch. BTW, a lot of African-Americans do have Asian-like eyes. I am darker-skinned but there is a lot of Cherokee on my mom's side of the family. It is all about dominant/recessive traits and the luck of the draw.

Most Afro Caribbs ( and African Americans) are seriously mixed; Born in the UK my mum is from Jamaica, Dad from Barbados - In no particular order paternal background Jewish, Syrian Indian, Scottish and African, Dads side is African, Dutch (my last name is also Dutch) and South American (poss from Arawak settlement) There is a strong suspicion that my Dads Grandmother was half Scottish!!
The word mixed up (in a good way) doesnt even come close!!

i think you're missing the point of Preston-P's comment, "when I say Asian that's including American Indian since they're considered Asians also."
your comment of "Natives tend to resemble Asians, DUH!" is basically reinstating what was previously said. so, your intent of making Preston-P sound stupid backfired since you made yourself sound ignorant. where do you think native americans came from? ans5b4wer: siberia, asia..DUH! i hope you're a youngin' and still enrolled in school. -

"Now go back to your education courses, kiddo. You are NEW to Imdb." ok, since you think you're so smart, look at the user name. it's plural for a reason. therefore, your reading of "my" other posts would not include my GRAMMAR. as for my education, i'm a product of english honors courses, and i was a duke tip student. did you take the sat in the seventh grade?..most likely not.
"Most AAs do NOT have Asian in their line and there are PLENTY of Africans w/"Asian" eyes, it isn't exclusive. Hell there are even white people with "slanted" eyes. And AAs tend to have NATIVE American, and the Natives tend to resemble Asians, DUH!.There are even BLACK AFRICANS who could pass off as 'Asian'does that mean they are? NOPE. American Indians ARE indigenous to North America and saying they aren't is basically supporting psuedo history. While SOME Native Americans may resemble Asians, that does NOT automatically mean they are. Just like Somalis; many could pass as Indian (India) but does that make Indian? NO."
you're sticking to the racial classifications with your explanations, which would be true when filling out a survey, application, etc. then, blacks are black, asians are asian, etc. also, in no way am i trying to say amerinds are not indigenous to america. they are indigenous when it comes to our government and their rights, or lack thereof. the question you should be asking yourself, though, is, "where did they come from?" the answer is the point to preston-p's comment of NAs being considered asian. like i said before, they migrated from asia continent. once again, i am not trying to put amerinds into the same racial classification as asians. the point is evolution. amerinds came from asia, and asians came from africa. your somalis statement would go with what i'm saying. east indians came from africa. therefore, east indians could resemble somalis. the whole sharing of physical traits comes from migration/mixing, evolution. "And AAs tend to have NATIVE American, and the Natives tend to resemble Asians, DUH!" do you see, now, how your statement really doesn't have a point? -

He's probably part Khoisan. I just posted this in another thread. The Khoisan are an African ethnicity who have epicanthal folds, which occur in particular ethnicities of all races, but almost always among east Asians and are therefore associcated with Asianness. He doesn't necessarily have to have Asian in his a5b4ncestry to have "Asian"-looking eyes.
