Yeah, officially the UK already uses the metric system. But I think that the general population still prefers to talk in feet and inches.
It's a similar case like on time. There are a lot of countries who officially have the 24-hour clock system, but who still prefer to say 3:00h instead of 15:00h. -

That is because in those countries 15:00h is usually pronounced as 3'0 clock(what a suprise,hehe :P) and people use context to know if its am or pm(mostly if your inviting someone for a drink at nine noone actually thinks your inviting someone for vodkas for breakfast).Otherwise its stated like 09:00h is 'nine in the morning' and 21:00 is 'nine in the evening'. -

That's exactly what I mean. But it would be much more simply if people would simply get used to saying 21h, instead of 9h PM.
