The whole rest of the world uses meters and centimeters. The only countries which have not adopted the metric system are the USA, Burma and Liberia.

        Technically
the UK is supposed to use the metric system but pretty sure we still use feet & inches for height and stones, pounds and ounces for (body) weight!

Yeah, officially the UK already uses the metric system. But I think that the general population still prefers to talk in feet and inches.
It's a similar case like on time. There are a lot of countries who officially have the 24-hour clock system, but who still prefer to say 3:00h instead of 15:00h.

That is because in those countries 15:00h is usually pronounced as 3'0 clock(what a suprise, hehe :P) and people use context to know if its am or pm(mostly if your inviting someone for a drink at nine noone actually thinks your inviting someone for vodkas for breakfast).Otherwise its stated like 09:00h is 'nine in the morning' and 21:00 is 'nine in the evening'.

That's exactly what I mean. But it would be much more simply if people would simply get used to saying 21h, instead of 9h PM.
