Filipinos are a mixture of people, it doesn't make them any less Filipino. It's like saying Japanese are not really Japanese because they are a mixture of Jomon, Korean & Chinese. Also, the Spanish ancestry would probably be very miniscule, some Filipinos even lie about it.

Filipinos are very "mixed" as an ethnicity.
There's probably Malay there, as well as a smattering of Chinese, Spanish/Caucasian and a few other nationalities.
