Reagan didn't fight due to "extreme nearsightedness" LOL. Did you ever see him wear glasses.

It's amazing how any message posted on the Inte2000rnet can be turned political these days. It's amazing how it used to be this exciting new platform that has become well, are you a liberal or conservative. Well, I will give you your R-money's worth.
You're obviously bitter over Romney's DEFEAT. And still talking about Reagan? Wow. The nutjob who listened to psychics and championed the culture of corporate greed/welfare and let the song in congress "Martin Luther Coon". That Ronald (6) Wilson (6) Reagan (6)? That fascist pig who tried to cut school kids milk from 6 OZ to 4? Who increased the divide between rich and poor and is the basis of our current fiscal problems? Who said "a tree is a tree. how many more do we have to look at"? And claimed trees are killing us. Trickle down economy. No, thank you.
Glad he's dead and you don't seem too far behind him. Now, suck it.

Of course they're publicists are going to give you stories about how their families didn't help them out, but let's be real to make it in Hollywood you need money and connections. I've been pursuing acting for about a year and have friends that have been in LA for 5 years who have won theater awards and have youtube videos with 1,000,000 hits and been in national commercials and still can't get an audition to play a waitress on CSI yet somehow people like Armie and Rooney Mara show up in Hollywood do one or two jobs on TV to get their SAG card(which normally you can't even audition for if you're not union) and then get major film roles. Believe what you want but I don't think it is much of a coincidence that both Armie and Rooney were in The Social Network with almost nothing on their resumes before it. My roommate went to high school with Rooney back when she went by Tricia and said she never even tried out for school plays.

I find it "interesting" that you begin with a theory ("Wonder if ????") and transform it into a conclusion ("I'm thinking he's had it easy .") In other words, you appear to have made up your mind before positing the theory. Either that or you're like the crafty lawyer who asks a prejudicial question knowing full well that the judge will rule it inadmissible and instruct the jury to disregard it. Since only Armie himself is likely to know the answer to your pseudo-question, why not give your career-envy a rest until he reveals the "answer"?

Well, it's not like he has had a meteoric rise to fame. He started out with bit parts and has been getting progressively bigger roles, so like most actors, he has been paying his dues and working his way up.
Was he starving while he worked his way up? Probably not lol.
But that doesn't mean that he hasn't worked hard or that he doesn't deserve his success.
Plus if you've ever seen him, you can tell that he's a good actor, is very charismatic and is fun to watch onscreen. Also it helps that he's gorgeous and tall and has a great voice. These are things that can help someone in showbiz, especially when it comes to leading man roles.
Can't fault him for the gifts he's been naturally given.

Of course he hasn't worked hard - daddy's allowance meant he never had to worry about the rent or his next meal. Daddy's money made sure he was invited to the right parties. Daddy's contacts will have opened a lot of doors.
And acting is pretending to be someone else - hardly hard work. A morbidly obese person can act without getting out of breath.
A lot of Hollywood thrives on nepotism - do you think Jewish people are really more talented than others? Yet there are huge numbers of them. I have nearly 600 channels on my TV, yet there is hardly anything worth watching - everything is the same old same old. Time to let real creativity in.
Saying all that - I liked The Lone Ranger!

A lot of actors, particularly this generation, seem to come from rich backgrounds or rich acting backgrounds.
I don't see the need to specifically put Mr rich kid Armie Hammer down when the Mara sisters, Gyllenhaal siblings, Michael Douglas, Sheen, Dreyfus, Michelle Williams, Glenn Close, Drew Barrymore, Bryce Dallas Howard, Coppolas, Liv Tyler, Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rashida Jones all have similar backgrounds, all had help either financially or connections wise or both in getting in the industry.da0 It's just the way of the world.
Then again you have huge current stars like Chris Pratt, or older stars like Tom Cruise, with normal lower to middle-class backgrounds, so the Hollywood dream isn't completely a lie

Hard to gauge. I don't buy the story that he had to struggle on his own; I think he had help. To people like the Hammer's being "cut off" is often being cut off from the luxuries or excess that they are accustomed too; doesn't mean he didn't have a dollar to his name.
That being said, Armie is a 6'5 adonis with classically "perfect" looks so, unlike other actors, it can't be presumed that this didn't affect his rise. Balthazar Getty comes from a wealthy family and still looks handsome but, when was the last time you saw him in anything major?

Sean Penn, Robert Downey Jr., Keifer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez, and so many others sure they didn't have ARM AND HAMMER money, but they had a way in, easier than most, because of director and/or acting fathers I think though to strike a chord with the public after getting in, however you get in, is what matters Some last, others peter out

I think it's more that he's tall and cute that got him success in show business. It confounds the heck out of me how life, and society, is so unfair to some people. Not only does he have advantages because of his height and looks, but he comes from the (lucky) wealthy family.
I'm not even allowed to sing karaoke in neighborhood bars because I'm an ugly little twerp.
My name is Tim, and I'm not wearing any pants!
