Worst Actress I've Seen In Years

The scene with her talking to Miles about why he should help her felt weird. I think it was her trying to deliver the lines but that's really it. The character has some rough edges but I don't think she is a bad actress.

I don't know if we can say that she's a bad actress. We haven't seen her in a lot of roles, and quite frankly this is the only extensive role she's had thus far. I think it's too early for such a statement. I do agree that her acting thus far has been nothing spectacular, but I do attribute a lot of that to what you mentioned also. The lack of her character and the show in terms of writing and depth is what it generally comes down to.
She's fairly young, so she can grow and come into her own still. The show has a good concept, but the execution is done horribly wrong. I was looking forward to it, but now, it probably deserves to go on the Sci-Fi channel and kept to a maximum of 2 hours as a made for tv movie as opposed to an attempt to a long standing National tv series on a major Network.
Unless they fix things up in the writing and some other execution points, I would really not want this to last a year. But, who knows - people certainly has watched worse things than this.
I've been thoroughly disappointed thus far. -

Yeah have to agree. It's apparent she watched a lot of Alias and tried to model her acting style on Jennifer Garner/Sydney. In every dramatic scene no matter what the situation cry or make it look like you're about to cry. And try to be as earnest a possible.
The show is far from great but I can't see it lasting a longer than a season with a lead who's downright annoying and borderline laughable. -

Even the sad fact that Revolution is a world class disappointment isnt nothing compared to the fact that she has no acting skills what so ever. Close up from last episode of her staring to the emptiness for 10s was just cherry on the top.
Seems to be a trend now days, tho. Low budget series with cheap casts. But this girls is something else, she has lowered the bar even from that.
When ever she on the screen, its nothing but agony to watch. -

I guess the show isn't a world class disappointment since they gave it a 22 episode second season and I'm really not sure why some people are criticizing her acting ability. I do think the writing in many instances and especially for Tracy's character is not all that great.

The OP is unmistakably spot on. But, having said that, I'm going to start a new thread on the same topic. Maybe, she'll see all the threads and stop acting.

I am absolutely appalled by the comments about her acting ability. I think that she is an amazing and fresh face. Her emotion is so raw and real on the show. Obviously because of the ratings several other millions agree with me!

She does kind of grate on my nerves, I found myself fast forwarding scenes with her doing most of the talking.
I also don't like the way her forehead gets all pitted looking when she's distressed. -

I couldn't disagree with you more. I think Tracy Spiridakos is one to watch.
I think she's done some pretty amazing work, so far. There's a couple of scenes where I was literally choked up and moved by her performance. I think there's a lot more great work to come. I often wonder what possesses someone to go out of their way to write something nasty about someone on a public forum. I gotta be honest, it's really hard to take your post seriously, when you've billed her as "worst actress I've seen In years".. To not like an actress is one thing, but to make such a statement, well, again, it's hard to take you seriously. -

Bashing Revolution, Tracy, and her character, Charlie seems to be one of the favorite sports of the self-styled hipster "critics" who haunt these boards. Somehow, this mindless bashing seems to be filling a need they share. It provides a sort of bond. A brotherhood of bitter bashers, if you will.
Here's a kind word of advice for everyone, who fits that description: "Get a life!". -

Could not agree more. She is the sole propose I have stopped watching this series. I had to verify my IMDB account just to say how annoying her character (in the series :)) is and how terrible her acting is. She have the same expressions regardless the scene. And the close up of her in emotional scenes is like stabbing a needle in my eye. She is good looking, but that's it.
