Oh geez.I just didn't want to see Ale chased off the board just because one person took over the poll without his permission. He has a LOT of support here, so why not come back?

Good grief. She evens puts it in the post title as well. There is no hope.

Yes, she posted all kinds of crap about me too & that is why I came back. I know her true nature too. Bet she really wishes she hadn't done that now.

          udderly
exciting! Well, it's the CFB, so of course I should expect to see the usual vocabulary/grammar/spelling lesson. By the way, I know how to spell "utterly".
So what grade do I get on the CFB vocabulary report card?
          Do I at least pass?

You should be more concerned about the grade you receive as a human being, which has been a resounding 'F' up to this point.

OldAle doesn't know what he's missing.
Typical MEQ, she tries to pivot to her being the victim after she has attempted to insulted someone. I've been through this before also.

Oh, I'll bet he knows what he's missing alright. He's probably just not missing it.
She's textbook NPD disorder with trying to play the victim card immediately following her being a victimizer. I sometimes wonder if she practices faces in the bathroom mirror, trying to mimic the appropriate expressions that normal people are 'supposed' to wear when something sad/bad/what-have-you occurs, as I've read some psychopathic personalities do, since they seem to lack the neuro-wiring that would generate these expressions as part of a natural, normal empathic response.
Could explain one reason she spends so much time in the can, though that may be even more disturbing to contemplate than the other reasons.

Guys.does this really need to turn into yet another endless mocking MrsEQ thread? You've already got a couple of them on the first page. I find her annoying as well but obsessing over her posts just seems pointless.

She's referred to a well-liked and respected user here as a 'sissy-pansy', which she's now attempting, in her usual fashion, to a.) make sound as if she were the victim rather than the person she flung the abuse at; b.) to once again 'cutely' try to deny that her words mean what they clearly do mean, and also that she she wasn't referring to the individual whom she clearly was referring to. The term itself is disgusting and degrading enough to warrant condemnation, her applying it to OldAle is inexcusable.
If being bothered by that sufficiently to continue to point it out when she does it is 'obsessive', I'll happily wear the label. Frankly, I more consider it more along the lines of having some loyalty to good people, and having some concern for the integrity of the board.

We're trying to encourage Ale to return though, and being directly targetted and criticised is exactly what drove him away. Does he really need to know EQ said that? It looks like you condemned her for it at the time so it could have been left at that.
It's also just getting boring to see the exact same group of users turn up and jump on any opportunity to slam her. I agree with what you all say butstill. It's overkill IMO, and totally gives her the attention she seeks. She obviously loves when a thread becomes all about her and it often happens because of this hounding.
                      Just sayin'.

Yes, he really needs to know MEQ said that. I can see no plausible reason why he shouldn't, or why she should be protected from having others know what she's said on a public forum. It's extremely likely he was already quite well aware of what was said by her. Posting one condemnatory remark to the woman sadly has little effect on her behavioras much as I hate to say it, public witch-burning is the only thing that seems to at least temporarily curb her worst excesses. Gang-ups are not my normal cup of tea, but MEQ crosses the boundaries into actualand activemalice too often not to be shamed for it when it occurs, especially in a manner as distasteful as this.
I understand and respect your point, however, regarding the fact that these responses often enough probably lead to giving her the sort of 'attention hit' she clearly craves. I don't know what the answer to that dilemma might beif she's ignored, she then simply seeks attention via egging on even more disruptive troll incursions onto the board. The woman does clearly appear to be some manner of borderline psycho- or sociopathic case who's targeted this board for playing out her disorders. Unfortunately, there isn't a simple or wholly satisfactory answer for dealing with that type, as she's obviously intent on causing harm here in some manner, whether she's given active attention or no. My reasoning is that, this being the case, it's better to keep something of an eye on her and something of a spotlight on her activities, than allow her the darkness she'd like to have to work even more mischief in.
That leads to an unsatisfactory state of affairs as well, but at this point I honestly think it the lesser of two evils. I'm willing to concede a possibility that I could be wrong about this.

That is what I thought too. He has read her remark, and if nobody came to his defense it would have made it worse. It was an expression of showing how much he is appreciated, compared to the one nasty comment, disguised as support.

I'm pretty sure that user activity level changes merely by browsing the boards (not just from posting). I looked at Ale's a few days ago, when talk of the polls started again, and his was on Aug 13. So no, he wouldn't have seen it.
Anyway, he's a big boy and I'm sure he'll be fine. I just think it was unnecessary to bring it up at a time when he's deciding whether or not to return. She's being hypocritical, yes, but I felt that was obvious anyway tbh.
As for your other stuff, try ignoring her for a while to see if she gets better or worse?

I've done the experiments. First you need a sock account, and you can see why actions put a time stamp on your account. Things such as answering a PM or rating a film, or adding a film to your favorites creates a time stamp. Browsing never changes your time stamp. Changing from one account to another does not change your time stamp. I've browsed only on one account for a year and it never changed the time stamp. (Last activity)
Anyway, he's a big boy and I'm sure he'll be fine. I just think it was unnecessary to bring it up at a time when he's deciding whether or not to return. She's being hypocritical, yes, but I felt that was obvious anyway tbh.
I understand your point of view. However with their long, bitter history it was disingenuous of her to comment. I have no idea as to his private life, and it seemed especially unkind for her to get personal, implying what she did, on top of their bitter history.
As for your other stuff, try ignoring her for a while to see if she gets better or worse?
I've gone without posting for a year & she got completely out of control. Her behavior now is actually good compared to what she was, completely unchecked. If you haven't noticed she has not found one person to come to her defense. You are not coming to her defense; you are only posting because you want Old Ale to come back & to continue with his polls, of which I am in complete agreement, if that makes any difference to your cause. Yes, I think we can call an end to the subject here & now, unless you have a further comment or question. But it looks to me like we better close before she gets to enjoying this too much. Good luck to you and Old Ale and your polls.
Edit: Sorry, I did not see your changing the reply to amyghost instead.

And if she gets no response here, she simply moves on to her next gambit: moving her act to another board, where she will fire an opening salvo against CFB in an attempt to draw regulars on the board into a feud situation, once she feels she's ingratiated herself amongst said users. She's attempted this quite successfullyfor a timewith Film General, and more recentlyand with far less success because she was prevented from doing so (as well as the regulars on both boards having better sense than to be drawn in)on boards such as The Watercooler and Food And Drink.
As I said, it's a problematic situation with no pat answer. But I continue to feel it's better that her behavior be somewhat checked by keeping an eye on it, than by letting her roam at will to do whatever damage she sees fit wherever she sees fit to do it. And she is capable of doing damage.

Well to be honest I think you let it bother you too much. This is only a message board. But hey ho.
I'll be waiting, with a gun and a pack of sandwiches.

Like Boomer Baby, I strongly dislike homophobic slurs, and I also dislike users who make a point of harassing, stalking and engaging in sundry malicious behaviors against people who've done nothing whatsoever to the user. I suppose I do get bothered by egregious bad behavior, especially the sort that is very difficult to simply tune out. And I definitely don't feel that people who engage in that behavior on a regular basis should be given a free pass, or have a blind eye turned to it by onlookers.

flaiky, Old Ale is very hip to the wicked ways of MEQ. He once said, "You are a cancer," and she flippantly replied, "No, I am an Aquarius."
Don't think for one second that she isn't using this excuse to slam him. This is a thread about him. The narcissist wants the thread to be about her & to degrade him at the same time.
Any time anyone uses a homophobic slur I am going to stick up (her favorite expression to describe her actions on IMDb) for the targeted group.

Oh geez.I just didn't want to see Ale chased off the board just because one person took over the poll without his permission. He has a LOT of support here, so why not come back?

You call referring to the man as a 'sissy-pansy' 'giving him a lot of support'? Did it ever occur to you that your type of garbage may be one reason he hasn't come back? Can you really be as goddamned dense as you sound?
