OT: Going forward with the polls

It's nice of you and some others here to want to take over hosting the polls. I'd offer, but I have zero patience for this sort of thing and besides, I'm on too many ignore listsha ha.
I sure hope that Ale comes back. His work with the polls is much appreciated. I've always been grateful to those who take the time to run polls, quizzes, etc. It takes a lot of work and it's all voluntary.
As for the years, maybe try doing years which were covered several years ago. The results might be different this time around, with different people responding and all that.
Good luck!Jim Hutton (1934-79) & Ellery Queen = -

I hope he isn't behaving like a sissy-pansy because of what happened that time a couple of months ago..Jim Hutton (1934-79) & Ellery Queen = Here's the thread, in case you try another one of your "I wasn't talking about him" dodges (note that your post was self-deleted shortly after Clore called you on it): http://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000010/thread/260953156?d=261394273#261394273 Hypocrite and homophobe to boot. 50 Is The New Cutoff Age. -

Maybe it will turn out that her evil twin made that original post calling Ale a sissy-pansy. Or maybe there's a madman in Edmonton who breaks into people's homes and either steals homework or uses the PCs to ruin reputations.

Oh geez.I just didn't want to see Ale chased off the board just because one person took over the poll without his permission. He has a LOT of support here, so why not come back?

As I learned once two years ago when she thought I was chased away by the notorious you-know-who (I took a 3 week vacation during the summer), she gets real brave and does call out posters when she thinks they're not coming back.

A keyboard warrior..
Yes, she posted all kinds of crap about me too & that is why I came back. I know her true nature too. Bet she really wishes she hadn't done that now. -

Maybe she needs to have the very words that she used be defined:
A vocabulary lesson! How
udderly
exciting! Well, it's the CFB, so of course I should expect to see the usual vocabulary/grammar/spelling lesson. By the way, I know how to spell "utterly".
So what grade do I get on the CFB vocabulary report card?
Do I at least pass?

???????????????????????????????????????Jim Hutton (1934-79) & Ellery Queen = You should be more concerned about the grade you receive as a human being, which has been a resounding 'F' up to this point. 50 Is The New Cutoff Age. -

OldAle doesn't know what he's missing.
Typical MEQ, she tries to pivot to her being the victim after she has attempted to insulted someone. I've been through this before also.

Oh, I'll bet he knows what he's missing alright. He's probably just not missing it.
She's textbook NPD disorder with trying to play the victim card immediately following her being a victimizer. I sometimes wonder if she practices faces in the bathroom mirror, trying to mimic the appropriate expressions that normal people are 'supposed' to wear when something sad/bad/what-have-you occurs, as I've read some psychopathic personalities do, since they seem to lack the neuro-wiring that would generate these expressions as part of a natural, normal empathic response.
Could explain one reason she spends so much time in the can, though that may be even more disturbing to contemplate than the other reasons.

Guys.does this really need to turn into yet another endless mocking MrsEQ thread? You've already got a couple of them on the first page. I find her annoying as well but obsessing over her posts just seems pointless.
I'll be waiting, with a gun and a pack of sandwiches. -

She's referred to a well-liked and respected user here as a 'sissy-pansy', which she's now attempting, in her usual fashion, to a.) make sound as if she were the victim rather than the person she flung the abuse at; b.) to once again 'cutely' try to deny that her words mean what they clearly do mean, and also that she she wasn't referring to the individual whom she clearly was referring to. The term itself is disgusting and degrading enough to warrant condemnation, her applying it to OldAle is inexcusable.
If being bothered by that sufficiently to continue to point it out when she does it is 'obsessive', I'll happily wear the label. Frankly, I more consider it more along the lines of having some loyalty to good people, and having some concern for the integrity of the board.

We're trying to encourage Ale to return though, and being directly targetted and criticised is exactly what drove him away. Does he really need to know EQ said that? It looks like you condemned her for it at the time so it could have been left at that.
It's also just getting boring to see the exact same group of users turn up and jump on any opportunity to slam her. I agree with what you all say butstill. It's overkill IMO, and totally gives her the attention she seeks. She obviously loves when a thread becomes all about her and it often happens because of this hounding.
Just sayin'.

Yes, he really needs to know MEQ said that. I can see no plausible reason why he shouldn't, or why she should be protected from having others know what she's said on a public forum. It's extremely likely he was already quite well aware of what was said by her. Posting one condemnatory remark to the woman sadly has little effect on her behavioras much as I hate to say it, public witch-burning is the only thing that seems to at least temporarily curb her worst excesses. Gang-ups are not my normal cup of tea, but MEQ crosses the boundaries into actualand activemalice too often not to be shamed for it when it occurs, especially in a manner as distasteful as this.
I understand and respect your point, however, regarding the fact that these responses often enough probably lead to giving her the sort of 'attention hit' she clearly craves. I don't know what the answer to that dilemma might beif she's ignored, she then simply seeks attention via egging on even more disruptive troll incursions onto the board. The woman does clearly appear to be some manner of borderline psycho- or sociopathic case who's targeted this board for playing out her disorders. Unfortunately, there isn't a simple or wholly satisfactory answer for dealing with that type, as she's obviously intent on causing harm here in some manner, whether she's given active attention or no. My reasoning is that, this being the case, it's better to keep something of an eye on her and something of a spotlight on her activities, than allow her the darkness she'd like to have to work even more mischief in.
That leads to an unsatisfactory state of affairs as well, but at this point I honestly think it the lesser of two evils. I'm willing to concede a possibility that I could be wrong about this.
