Tobey Maguire doesn't age, you can take him out of the teenagers list.

I agree Spider-Man has had many great stories as an adult in over 50 years of comic history. Great stories as a kid too, but some of the best Spidey stories came when Peter Parker was an over 21 year old adult. Even 30+ year old adult. But the live action versions always want to snap him back to high school and being a kid whose in the 15-17 year old range.
I don't mind Tom Holland, I saw Civil War and Tom surprised me with how great he was with the role. He was very spot on. It is cool and an interesting twist having this kid with all the adult heroes.
He's even younger with his portrayal then either Tobey or Andrew. Tobey and Andrew were going for 17-19 year old Peter Parkers, whereas Tom seems to be going for a 14 or 15 year old.

Guess you don't know much about Spider Man then. He was 15 when he was bitten. As we found out in CW, he's been Spidey for 6 months. You do the math.

They are planning to have him as Spidey for at least the next decade. He will grow into being that more mature Peter Parker over the course of the franchise.

Putting him back in high school is redundant when the character just graduated in the previous film.

Not to mention the Tobey films and Andrew films don't exist in MCU.

We did. Their names were Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Tobey was 27 years old when he played a "teenager." Andrew was 29.
Marvel nailed the casting with Tom Holland. Deal with it.

It's the Teenage Spidey that had the huge impact on COmics back in the Sixties, the one that everybody remembers.
And as pointed out,by portraying him as around 16,this is the first Spidey movie that actually has him at the right age when he got his powers.

He was, twice already. Maquire and Garfield were in their late 20's/early 30's when they were playing Spidey. But I agree, I would prefer to see a grown man Spider-Man, since I started reading Spidey's comics when he was already an adult.

No. We can't. Hollywood likes to repeatedly retell some superheros' origin stories. For example, we've seen Thomas and Martha Wayne shot to death four times already in live-action pictures.
