I like the Danny Peary lists. He is an interesting film critic who doesn't take himself too seriously and thinks for himself.
Interestingly, I have seen almost exactly half from each of his three lists.

Mine counted out to 14 but knowing what qualifies as a cult film, I'd say there are a LOT more than 57 ever made.

I've seen 27 out of 57 from that list. There are many older cult movies not included on that list, however.

This is a narrow list with some odd inclusions. For example: I love Scarface, and like The Princes Bride, but never really thought of them as cult films. Sure, they're quirky and unique, but they were predominantly critically well received, and commercially successful. They are pretty mainstream titles. This list seems less likely to be for cult film fans, but rather to let the mainstream joe think he's being "fringe". There is not a cult following for a film if it is liked by the majority of general audiences. . . just saying.
