Even though it was just a Billy Joel song, I still used to enjoy hearing it whenever the show came on.

Greatest American Hero, Charles in Charge, Underdog, The Nanny, Kimba the white lion.
Oddly, I didn't care much for the first two, and only saw a couple of episodes. But the theme songs were great. George Costanza immortalized the first by incorporating it into his answering machine message on Seinfeld, and Ted's acappella group on Scrubs sang Charles in Charge and Underdog.

                              1940s - "The Goldbergs"
1950s - "Longines Chronoscope" (obscure talk show which had a fab version of "Moonlight Sonata" as the theme)
                              1960s - "Bewitched"
1970s - "The Aunty Jack Show" closing theme
                              1980s - "Dragon Ball"
                              1990s - "Rocko's Modern Life"
2000s - ???? (the best was when I was randomly viewing nothing in particular, and there was a newscast from a friendly Arab nation, maybe Dubai, and the theme was very nice. I only watched the newscast a couple times when extremely bored (I don't speak Arabic) but I still remember the theme).
                              Have you played Atari today?
