Indeed Ghost kid, that is from a well remembered episode called "Love Hungry" about a former high schooler who works in telemarketing who has an odd relationship with food and being overweight. It's a favourite of 'Tales from the Darkside' fans
It's a sort of rip off of the UK story "The Sound Machine" from 'Tales of the Unexpected' from about 8 years prior (Republished from an earlier novelette of Roald Dahl's from just after the war) -

anything, or something, or nothing– a former (farmer?) high schooler who works in telemarketing. Can any of us be sure we "work" in anything, though? What if you are 14/15ths European and a little African? Will Polish violinists snub you?
Anyways, I digress (but nevertheless progress, hahah) who has an odd relationship with food and being overweight. When I say "odd" I don't mean a sexual relationshiip. That would be "queer", not "odd", yes??????
