I feel bad for Benny more than anything. I mean you and I have been lied to and given false hope over the whereabouts of Dan and Juan so many times now that we can take it on the chin! As for Benny, Colin gave him that experience and took him to all of these places which appeared to really change Benny and he grew as a human being. It was most joyful to see! Then he takes all of that away and Benny is right back to square one! Taking photos of himself in his sweat den wearing his ‘summer clothing’ as if none of it ever even happened. It’s a tragedy.
Benny will pick himself up and dust himself off.
Whether or not our Benny got to experience that same reality as your phone told you about he's now read it and can dream about it and alter it to his own fancies. He might even end up with Colin and they get married and have several kids together - who knows?
I think Benny will be just fine Bobby, but I'm sure he is thankful that you are thinking of him

It reminds me of that time in Doctor Who when our hero had to delete all of the memories from dear Donna Noble…about all of the experiences that she had with The Doctor. The GROWTH that she had with him. Oh sure she will be happy enough and lead an ordinary life and never know any different…but the Doctor made her so much more and we SAW that!
The Doctor had NO CHOICE in that matter though. Colin just did it because he could and he doesn’t care once he’s got what he wanted.

Ok for that to happen we need Benny to find a nice man and ADOPT a none binary (or at least a trans girl who IDENTIFIES as none binary when it suits her superior purposes). On the off chance that Benny likes women too, his spawn will need to COINCIDENTALLY be a trans woman who says ‘NONE BINARY’ when Benny starts going a bit loopy and repeating ‘binary binary binary etc’. I doubt that it will happen though. Colin Ritman is only ever out for what he can get so I doubt that he will have left Benny with a LOOPHOLE.

You can't just assume consent
This isn't the 80's anymore
You need a full document with all sorts of parameters set out clearly and in multiple languages (And possibly brail) before you can undergo anything as complex as fictional AI adoption of an adult into sibling relations
There's probably horror stories about it and stuff
