I don't like nasally, whiney, high-pitched noise, (so that explains a few of my choices).
What songs in particular do you think I'm being too harsh about?

I hated Journey until I saw "Monster" and their "Don't Stop Believing" is stupendous. It actually brought tears to my eyes.

I grew up in the beach cities near LA. Every dumbfuck stoner reveres Pink Floyd. Some of there stuff is nice but they're way overrated.
Most people don't realize that Queen is a gay camp act. I appreciate camp in limited doses. But when I listen to rock I want rock, not trilling and faux opera. Sorry, it's not a coincidence that Mercury ended up being a fag.
Pearl Jam took grunge and turned it mainstream. I don't respect them.
RATM is cacophonous noise without any structure to their songs. If they made one nice hard raging rock song with a melody I've never heard it.

RATM is as much Hip hop as they are rock.
Queen is not just rock, they incorporated many different styles into their music.

My point is that Pearl Jam is more mainstream than it is grunge.
Lady, Queen is classic rock. It doesn't get more middle of the road rock than Queen. Their first two albums were great. Then I guess by that time Mercury had been ****ed up the ass so many times he went 100% camp.

— 6 years ago(August 09, 2019 04:28 AM)I don’t know what Queen you’ve been listening to but they’ve never been “middle of the road”. They played around with so many different styles of music. Opera in Bohemian Rhapsody. Country/ Honky tonk I’m Crazy little thing called love.
There’s Nothing “ middle of the road” about incorporating different genres. Yes they are classic rock, Doesn’t mean they stuck to one sound.
