Agreed. That version was used in a lifetime movie and india Arie told billboard this was her original version of the song but it fell through the cracks

I love that song too! It's amazing how that song came out in 2005, but it sounded more like it came out straight from 1995.
She's been greatly slept on. In Love and War was a pretty good record too. I feel like her success in music had been greatly robbed.

I know what you mean about the song sounding more 90's than 2000's. I love the Roy Ayers sample she used. Whenever I hear some of Roy's songs it makes me think of Mary J. since she sampled a few of them too.

It's a shame when that happens. So much crap masquerading as music clogging up the scene and the super talented ones don't always get the attention they deserve.
