Do people ever give you a hard time about your drug use?

Heres a story for ya:
My buddies used to do just about everything down the pike a few years ago and I was the "square" that didnt smoke or anything. Now, all of a sudden since they have girlfriends and junk, they think they're above it all and turn up their nose at me when I'm around and blaze up even though they've done worse stuff(Meth,ice,shrooms,coke,etc.)and all I touch is the green. beep' hypocrites, EVERY. LAST. ONE. OF. THEM.

Man. That guy is FAR too serious about weed. For YEARS I railed against doing drugs of any kind (drinking, smoking cigs, smoking weed, ANYthing), until about my sophomore year of college, when my roommate asked me if I wanted to come drink with him and a few friends. Yeah. DRINK. If anything, I would consider alcohol a gateway drug, not weed.
After that, the next significant thing happened about a year and a half later (This past March) when my housemate (totally different person than above) asked me if I wanted to smoke a bowl with him. So I did. We watched Pi, and I didn't understand a damn thing about it, but I damn sure giggled my way through most of it.
First off, in no way is marijuana physically addictive. Physical addiction would be the nicotine in cigarettes, or getting the DTs from no long doing heroin, or the like. The crazy guy that's practically been spamming these boards makes mention of psychological addiction, but I'm even skeptical of THAT in cases of smoking a bit of puff.
The next thing that happened in my line of experimentation, and this is aimed at you, hero4hire, was shrooms. To be perfectly honest, that was the best time of my entire life. I spent a good four hours, with three of my best friends, laughing our asses off at whatever we saw or did. It was an absolute blast, and I would love to do it again sometime. My point, I suppose, is that to lump hallucinogenic mushrooms in the same category as meth and coke, I'd say is poor choice of grouping. Especially considering, like the weed you smoke, shrooms grow out of the ground just the same.
Anyway, just my two cents:
Crazy guy: Chill out and let people live their lives. Spamming boards that practically cater to people who smoke down isn't going to get anyone anywhere. Go ahead and volunteer at your local homeless shelter and tell me how many people come in there vomitting because they haven't smoked some bud that day. I promise you won't find any.
Also, in response to another post in another thread, mentioning that smoking pot ruins your life and all that garbage:
I'm a grad student in Berkeley, CA. I've maintained a 3.8 GPA thus far. I smoke usually about once a week, sometimes more.
hero4hire: It sucks that your friends dissed you like that after you started smoking down. But considering shrooms a hard drug (although they are hallucinogenic) in the same league as coke and meth just isn't good practice.
In response to the OP: I used to be the guy giving people hard times. Now I'm the guy having good times with those I used to be giving the hard times. Go figure.
