The production number "Too Marvelous for Words" from this film can be seen on You Tube. Type "classic hoofing on a giant typewriter".

Too bad Ruby Keeler Jolson was never able to dance.

Ahh! That's exactly why I came here, to say that she was fabulous in the typewriter number, as was her partner, and that all the talk about her dancing like she was killing bugs in 42nd Street was not representative of all her abilities.
If you thought she was even awful in this scene I don't think we'll ever see eye to eye on Ruby Keeler. Oh well, differences of opinion keep the world spinning.

Ruby Keeler is fabulous on the giant typewriter set dancing to Too Marvelous For Words. I suppose the typewriter was a pun for the song title.
