What happened at the end, Cooper stops Burt from running off with getting half the loot and instead Gary gets 100k for now helping the Mexicans, possibly because he got his wallet back?
    Thanks

I think you got it right. He gets the $100,000 and the girl. From his comments earlier in the movie he probably goes back to Louisiana to start a new life. Remember he wasn't just down in Mexico for himself but wanted to come back to help some people in Louisiana. Also $100,000 was a lot of money back then.

$100,000 is still a lot of money 😉

Especially in 1954. Would be worth around $800,000 or more.
          Can you fly this plane?
          Surely you can't be serious.
          I am serious,and don't call me Shirley

And considering the movie was set in the mid 1860s it would be even worth more.
