Yes, Lois Nettleton always got short changed on her looks and a lot on her acting.

Little known fact: Lois Nettleton had a very prominent role in an episode of Seinfeld. Guess what character she played and no Googling!

I so agree kr-1959 that episode of Golden Girls was a good one
            ( the episode was called " Isn't It Romantic? " from season 2 episode 5 ) .
IMPO - Always thought this fine actress was wonderful
in just about everything she played in -
that I have seen over the years
            .
It's too bad she wasn't in more episodes of TZ
but she was also in an episode short story of Night Gallery
called " I'll Never Leave You Ever " from season 2
            .

She was lovely. She reminded me a lot of Joanne Woodward.

Yes. I can see that, Jennie, though I find Miss Nettleton more appealing and sexier than Joanne Woodward, but that's me. Nettleton looks terrific in
                  The Midnight Sun
, which in turn reminds me of how much things have changed where women's fashions and looks are concerned. I prefer the more natural, individualistic days before six pack abs and jogging addiction. A woman was a woman back in the day, and Lois Nettleton: now that's a woman!

                    Yeah she is HOT.
Not in the conventional sense that is pathetic people have in the first place.
I want to jump through the screen and pull her out. (Being only 30 it's been awhile)

Kind of a racey outfit for television in the early 60's.
But yeah, she was a babe for sure. And I'm a heterosexual woman. Haha

Kind of like the way that Elizabeth Taylor wore a slip for the entire first half of

Didn't another character of Elizabeth Taylor's
also in a movie scene walk around smoking a cigarette
at a hotel room while in her undergarment slip
                            from the 1960 film " BUtterfield 8 "
or was it just this film you mentioned above here Jennie_Portrait ?

Yes, she spent time in Butterfield 8 in a slip. Of course, she was a call girl.

This was the first Twilight Zone I ever saw. I was instantly hooked. Not because of her but the story and plot. Now that being said, I also found her attractive and thought about how riske that had to be back in that era. This episode will always be special, for multiple reasons.

                                        THIS COMMENT CONTAINS SPOILER
I believe that most films or programs that contain the "it was all a dream" ending is usaully a copout, even if the plot is done exceptionally well, it can take the story from fantastic to just pretty good. Now in Midnight sun, aside from the fact that the story was great, we did almost get the episode taken down a notch with the "all a dream" ending, but after she woke up and realized it was a dream, we then got hit with such a great twist that was not seen coming, and that made the finished product of this episode fantastic.

This kind of episode and twist is TZ at its very best. Why I'm such a big fan is for reasons like Midnight Sun.
