I know! What was up with Gramps? He acted like a half wit during most of the movie.
I love how he basically begged Derek to move in with him even though Derek had no clothes, luggage, stuff or money. Practically put out a welcome mat to a stranger for full access to his granddaughter.
No two persons ever watch the same movie.

I thought I'd check in for the first time since 2008 to see how Gramps is doing.
He's across the street, so I can't tell him how much interest he is generating. I don't think he's been eating right; he looks a bit thin.
Will someone please cook a gargon and send it over to him with a small dish of melted butter?

That scene is hilarious, I actually like this movie. ultimately I find it entertaining because of scenes like that
