Of the three you listed, I chose Brando.
But before I looked at the choices and pictured the movie in my head, the first face I saw was Sonny's. So, James Caan would have been my most honest response.

Do you find Caan attractive at all?

              If you haven't seen Francis F. Coppola's
              The Rain People
with Caan, Shirley Knight and Robert Duvall, I recommend it. Caan is just beautiful in this, both in presence and performance.

I haven't seen that movie. I bet I would like it, though.
I think Danny Peary gave Knight his Alternate Best Actress Oscar.

He did, though I have no issue with the wonderful Maggie Smith's award for
The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie.
Caan plays a mentally slow ex-football player due to an injury. He is exceptional.
It is on here to watch. You need to see
                  A Dream Of Passion
as well. I am going to watch Bertolucci's
                  La Luna
                  as my next one.

I like Maggie Smith. But not in TPOMJB. She is soooo mannered in that movie and her character is, to me, so unlikable. That one girl who went off in the fighting spirit and got herself killed. Actually, that whole subplot seemed off to me. I have no idea if we are supposed to find Jean Brodie sympathetic or not. I thought she was a menace. I enjoy it when Pamela Franklin tells her off in the final scene. She needed it! I do think Franklin gave a really good performance in the movie.

Franklin was terrific. Brodie was a bit of a pretentious snob, but that is why I like her characterization. I love the setting and within her own means she meant well and she just challenged the conventions of the time. She wanted "her girls" to be free-thinkers. She just became dangerous in the sense that she was too politically ideologized.
I find the mannered aspect of Miss Brodie just perfect and I still found she had depth. The other great performance is from Celia Johnson as the headmistress, who is determined to get rid of Brodie.

Yes, Marlon Brando, but not for the trilogy. In that case it has to be Al Pacino.

Yeah, he's in all of them, but the minute someone says "The Godfather" (or even 'godfather'), the image in my head is Marlon Brando in that tuxedo "on the day of his daughter's wedding".
I remember there were talks 20 years ago about Godfather IV, lol. I think Coppola probably had a change of heart after seeing so many ****ty "franchises"
