I don't think it's anything but the fact that Keenan is a versatile, funny performer perfect for SNL. Behind the scenes I can imagine he's a very happy and positive influence to the entire cast/crew and they realize if he leaves they'd miss him immensely.
Bottom line: I think Keenan is the favorite child of Lorne and Co.
      Shall we play a game?

Sorry but this is really inappropriate for actual versatile performers

Um, how about your opinion isn't the only one that counts and a lot of people like him? Both on the show (obviously) as well as viewers?

Liking him and finding him funny is a matter of preference and opinion.
Saying he is a versatile comedian is not.
Dont tell me you're innocent. Because it insults my intelligence and makes me very angry.

I'm pretty sure he has some good blackmail material on Lorne or a top NBC exec.

He's grown on me. I don't care. Why get a new fat funny black guy if you already have one, and he's not quite good enough to get a film career or a tv show? Stick with what works.

Yeah, whatever. SNL has always been about change and getting new talent. If they stuck with what worked, Garrett Morris would still be in the cast. Kenan needs to go.
