Was the butler killed or drugged? As I understand there still had to be at least 2 non detectives - the butler and the cook (which was revealed as the host). So what happened to the butler? -

"the butler did it" is a mystery fiction trope/cliche.
in the case of this movie, however,
the butler did not do it the cook did it.
that's the long and short of the craziest punchline i have ever witnessed! -

My take is that Yette was
really the daughter, so in killing the butler and her father, she ends up with everything,
and there are absolutely no witnesses.
