The rabbit represents fertility as well, beginning of Spring, vernal equinox. I say celebrate the Vernal Equinox or Easter, but don't confuse the two.

There’s a strong correlation between the two, and hares are known to symbolize fertility or a gift of love within the Pagan religion. What they mean does vary by the region though.
