OK, so here goes:
The Drummonds move to L.A., the year is 1991; Sam's bigger now, and hangs out with a delinquent kid who robs ATM's with an Atari pocket computer.
They head over to the Sherman Oaks Galleria; a cop is looking for Sam's friend, John; Nikki Cox from Unhappily Ever After and Las Vegas tells him she saw Sam and his friend head over to the Galleria.
Sam and his friend go to the video arcade, but the cop shows up; Sam tries to tell the cop his friend John is not around, but the cop knows better; the cop spots John, and his arm turns into a sword and stabs Sam, killing him, then goes after John. -

Everyone who watched the show as a kid was glad when Sam got kidnapped by the man with the beard in the “serious” episode of the show. That would have been the perfect way to write him out of the show. Unfortunately, Sam was found and the bearded man went to prison.
