I read some posts that said, " Why did Michael do this, or that……."

The why part is easy, it's the how that has me baffled. In a movie that doesn't do much in the "movie magic" department and tries to keep it realistic as possible, except the whole Halloween street thing, the rake is the toughest to get around. I know all about suspension of disbelief, but after almost 40 years and multiple viewings, dissecting this film is about all one has left.

Just because people put more effort in their thoughts and are more articulate than you is no reason to call them losers. How would you feel if those same people turned the tables and called you a simpleton for not thinking deeply about things and giving one sentence answers?
Don't call it a comeback. I've been here for years. -

AhI don't recall calling anyone a "loser". Please point that out. And loser isn't the same thing as calling someone a simpleton, basically, slow or retarded, Barn, thank you very much.

Yeah,
losers
. Lol. If all you have is to dissect 40 year old movies, you need to get a life.
Nobody said it was the same as calling someone a simpleton - which no one called you anyway.
But above you insult a whole group of people because of their posting habits.
People who don't circle the same cluster of boards on a 24 hr cycle adding 2 line posts to scores of threads out of some pathological obsession.

That was in response to someone else
I don't give a toss who it was in response to. You asked me to point out where you called anyone a loser AND I DID.
So it's actually you who
loses
on this occassion.
You have essentially labelled a group of people "losers" because they may choose to post about a 40 year old movie at greater length than you.
And there was an Lol, which means joke
Does this then mean if someone called you a "simpleton" and added "lol" you wouldn't mind?
I don't use "lol"s or most other internet lingo and abbreviations myself..but I understand lol means
laugh out loud.
This to me means you called people "losers" and then laughed out loud. That only adds to the mockery you aim at them.
Lol means your laughing moreover than joking. I find the two quite distinct from each other.
But of course as Barney pointed out, it's all perfectly fine so long as you're the one hurling the names and not on the receiving end.

What the heck are you even talking about?
Nothing ever takes as long as it appears to take on screen in a movie.
And nothing ever happens as quickly as it does off screen in a movie.
