I think that a lot of people saw the first 20 or so minutes of this film and thought that the rest of the film would be similar. Those people would be somewhat disappointed. I happened to find the monolougue between the killer and the kidnapped girl very interesting. Since I loved the begining of the film, and I found interest in the slower segments, I loved the film.

Yeah, I liked that it was all psychological. Not all gore.

I absolutely love this splendidly scuzzy 70's grindhouse slasher sleaze classic. Cameron Mitchell's wild portrayal of the crazed killer is really something to behold, especially in the scene where he sings to a bound and gagged Pamelyn Ferdin. Of course, the murder set piece with Mitchell brutally butchering gorgeous porn actress Kelly Nichols with a nail gun is positively breathtaking. I give it a 9 out of 10.

Not a great movie, but there are things about it that I like. I actually think the main theme music is very good. I'm amused by the evangelist ranting on the radio at the beginning ("forever!..Forever is a long time!"). The redhead in the tub is beautiful. And the movie really captures that 70's look, the clothing and the look of the kitchen. And how 'bout that country tune, "pretty ladyy!".
