I'm so glad Nickeloden is re-showning all of the classics. Maybe one day they'll have a 24-hour Classic Nick channel devoted compleatly to those days when "Spongebob" wasn't even an idea.

A "Nick Classics" channel? That's a great idea! What I wouldn't do to be able to see Salute Your Shorts and Hey Dude again Maybe if we're lucky some of these shows will be released on DVD someday. With as many people as there is who grew up watching Nick, you'd think there would be a pretty high demand for it.

I agree. I was watching Nick GAS the other day, and I felt a pang of sadness after watching an episode of "Double Dare" from 1987 (waaaaaaay before that terrible version made in 2000).
Think about itclassic Nick with classic Nick programming. It could even use the old pinball design from the early 80s for a really retro feel.
It would do well, methinks.
We got movie sign! -

Of course i am not going to remember to check back here so if someone would email me the answer then i would be SO very happy
On nick there used to be this in between the programs cartoon that was:
FIRE
devil type guy does something and has something bad happen to him
FIRE
end of skit
Just wish I could see those again, when it was originally on it used to scare the hell out of me.
I also remember some video about video tape eating some guy and that gave me nightmares! -

Well, I pretty much grew up watching Nickelodeon, as well. I'm not sure when it started, but I still remember a commercial from 1986:
"The United States of America is 210 years old,
The Statue of Liberty is 100,
Nick and Nite is 1."
I guess that means Nick at Nite turns 20 next year. Before that, I remember that the day's programming ended with Inspector Gadget and Mighty Mouse before heading off into the nocturnal rainbow. -

You can't forget "The Secret World of Alex Mack".. but seriously, I used to love this that show, "Are you afraid of the Dark" "Hey Dude" "Pete and Pete" and all those others. I hope to see them all soon! I agree with green, if they had that on, I would quit my job and never leave the house! But I loved "You can't do that on television" Alanis Moresette wasn't the best actress in the world on that show, she was only on for one season. Thats the reason why I felt I shouldn't spell her name correctly.

How about
Nick Rocks
Star Trek: The Animated Series
Sparticus and the Sun beneath the sea (theme song by Menudo!)
The Little Prince
Belle and Sebastian
Today's Special
Banana Man
The Adventures of TinTin
The Little Koala
The Third Eye
And back in the day, Nick only played until like 6:00 PM, then turned into A&E.
MEMORIES!!! There are too many CRAPPY "season one" tv box sets out there for some of these great shows to be ignored. Whoever owns the rights to "You Cant do that on TV" and "Pinwheel" is sitting on a MINT! They'd better not wait too long, or the generation who grew up with these will lose their raging sense of 80s nostalgia. Let's get on the stick, TV Ontario.
