I also enjoyed this film in a certain capacity. All of the scenes featuring John Belushi as Captain Wild Bill Kelso were my personal favorites. Aside from his character, I was somewhat lost. I felt that there were far too many storylines being played out.

Yeah, I just got the Collector's Edition on DVD the other day. I enjoyed it, just not as much as Spielberg's other films. Still, it had a decent cast, score, and humor to it.

Bear in mind, Steven Spielberg's Worst Film is an incredibly relative concept. There are plenty of film directors that would kill to have his worst on their resumes.

I REALLY like this film. When it came out I couldn't understand why the critics were trashing it. They claimed that biggest negative among many were the too numerous plot lines. I guess none of them had ever seen "
Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
" before. And I think it has one of Williams' best soundtracks. His music here had energy and life, unlike when he conducted the Boston Pops.

I used to watch this film religiouly on my betamax machine in the early 80's.
I saw it by accident at the movies waiting in line for another film
(The Black Hole) and enjoyed this film better. It was awesome on the big screen. This film reminds me of a modern day version of It's a Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad World with it's multiple characters an storylines. I still enjoy watching this film to this day. It's broad in it's slapstick humor and has a great cast.
It has all the Spielberg touches that would make him the famous director that he is today.

                IMO,
                Lost World
                was his worst.

                  Thought
                  Lost World
was a great sequal but not his best or worst movie sorry 2 say.
1941 was and still is an enjoyable movie,
people lets rate this movie a bit more it's
                  under-rated like hell ffs!!!
                  I gave it a 10 since!

The Lost World, Hook, and A.I. were way worse than 1941. I though 1941 was pretty funny, especially John Belushi's scenes.

I loved this movie as well.Fun to watch and a lot of mayhem.A little note. The girl who skinny dips at the beginning of the films the the same actress who play the "first victim" in Jaws.

This is not Spielberg's worst. Not by a long shot. I think Hook or Always rank far lower in my book. 1941 has John Belushi in it. He left us to soon for me to call this a dud.
