I saw this movie for the first time when I was like 8 and I cried my heart out. I thought it was the age thing but i watched it again when i was 18 and i'm kinda embarassed to say that I still shed some tears. Was it just me?

I just watched it tonight with my parents and all three of us were crying. I think it's the little boy that does it, "Wake him up I want The Champ!" And I don't cry very easily during movies there's a list of maybe 5 movies that have ever made me cry.

Only cry if you can do it in c minor.

I am 14 and just watch the movie like last week and i cryed at most of the parts where rick schroder crys. But i got to say its like my favorite movie

Yeah, I only saw it when I was about 8 years old, but I remember crying a lot! In England Channel 4 did a year of the 100 greatest tear jerkers, and I think it ranked in the top 10.

I have showed this movie to at least 15 people. (family and friends) Every single one was a sobbing mess by the end of it! I still rank it as one of the biggest tearjerkers of all time!
