You are so correct on this, sir. Ted Knight was the best in this film. Had the most iconic lines and delivered them to perfection that we're still talking about it and repeating them nearly 40 years later. This film has never lost its classic appeal, thanks largely for knight. Dangerfield and the others wouldn't have been as funny. We lost him way too soon.

100% agreed! One of the funniest scenes is when Noonan walks into his office (after the judge has caught him with Lacey). As Smails casually turns in his chair his leg bangs the table and his eyes get really big with pain!

One of my favorite movies of all time. Great performances from everyone but Knight's stood out. My favorite line:
"How about dropping by the Yacht club? Mmmmm? Mmmmmm? Mmmmm??"
My friends an I imitated the line and his mannerisms while saying that line long after
