'The pervert looked and acted like a sleazy character which is exactly what he was. He was the type who would try to get sex for free and, if not, he seemed like he wouldn't have had a problem paying hookers'.
'The fact that he had a venereal disease and thought nothing about telling Kate about it shows how immoral he was and, yesa dirty old man and a sicko. Certainly, he wasn't the hero of the filmnerd Hardy Boy was.'
She was cruising the museum like he was; ahe wasn't forced. If Kate was that miserable in her marriage, she could had left instead of resorting to cheating. Maybe the man was having an extra-marital "affair" too.
You have no background/subtext on the man to know his sexual habits, nor his VD status. And it's not only 'perverts' who contract VD; it was a plot device. Kate assumed he still had the disease, which could had been already treated and eliminated. So, it's not a fact that he still had the disease. I have to explain this to you? Are you are that sheltered, or just don't like men and apply double-standards?

Lol, you ran out of ammo long ago and now you can't even make childish comeback remarks efficiently. I made my argument about the film's artistic merit and the ball is ON YOUR COURT, but instead of responding intelligently you you actually I don't know what the HECK you are doing, LOL!! But congratulations, you are now officially even MORE BRAIN DEAD than the other entity, which I didn't think was possible. Just admit to me and everyone that you are VERY EASILY MADE UNCOMFORTABLE by someone offering you opposing arguments, ESPECIALLY ONE YOU CAN'T COUNTER, LOL. Does this happen often in REAL LIFE TOO? And lay off the computer and stop posting around the clock all over IMDb, will you? Maybe THAT'S your problem right there. Your LAST REMAINING BRAIN CELL is lacking the rest it needs so you could function like a normal human again.
Great point here too: "And the reason why people cannot accept or admit being wrong is that they will wonder how many other things they are wrong about." (You see this, PrometheusTree64?) Maybe it's too difficult for them to understand this either, Lol.
          But, honey, you're
          crazy!
          Non-sequiturs are delicious.

Honey, you have another poster coming here to point out your inability to ADMIT YOUR WRONGHEADEDNESS. Another poster has just PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE, LOL! So keep repeating the stupid things you've been posting and it won't accomplish anything except making your craziness and patheticness even more readily apparent (except to you, of course).

              moviemadness,
You're in bad company. Simpleminded is
              infamous
              across IMDb INFAMOUS.
And he promised me a few weeks ago he'd placed me on "ignore." (Sadly, he was fibbing as per usual).
So your desperation for "support" has put you in bad hands, as befitting a crazy person.
              Non-sequiturs are delicious.

That's because it doesn't take a genius to figure out the extraordinary degree of PATHETICNESS you are suffering from, LOL!! OH, SNAP! Any FIVE-YEAR-OLD reading this thread is going to notice you have REEEEAL trouble admitting you're wrong. You see, any NORMAL person takes this ability for granted. From the first day we go to school to the day we have jobs, we LEARN from mistakes. We learn by ADMITTING and CORRECTING mistakes. Just wondering what in your nature, or upbringing, or both, causes you to be so devoid of such ability, tsk, tsk, tsk. But if you don't want to do it, THAT'S OK!! I DON'T MIND!!! IT'S YOUR LIFE, LOL!!! BE THE JOKE THAT YOU ARE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

                  "Pathetic"?
I think you know very well how you're misbehaving, moviemadness.
And, going by your posting history, you seem to scream the same things at anyone who dares disagree with your manic "points" (
                  winning
though you feel they may be).
                  May I ask your age?

The difference is that my past heated comments had SUBSTANCE that backed up every one of my arguments, and yours were all infantile and cliche-ridden remarks that were totally devoid of substance, just like the vacuum chamber that you call your head. But then again the other poster is right again: you're just not worth my time. I can't argue with such an infantile mind the same way Einstein can't argue with an ANT. Somebody is going to sue me for child abuse!

                        Moviemadness2012,
I haven't read the entire thread to know everything about who said what to whom, but speaking about admitting one's wrongness in general. Though, Dr.Julia Hoffman did say some things which provoked me. The other poster is not worth your time.

The two of you, like so many average filmgoers, has a fundamental lack of cineliteracy that makes you unable to appreciate the artistic qualities of a great film.
                            Screamingly funny.

The girl was very pretty! No plastic-surgery-disasters like the untalented ones from this era. I do agree she wasn't very skilled. But Michael Caine isn't brilliant neither.

OP what are you talking about? Nancy Allen is a gorgeous woman. In fact, I would call her beautiful.

Nancy Allen was always very beautiful but she was as bland as you can get as an actress. Being Mrs. DePalma really helped. The film only stays together due to the technical brilliance of DePalma and the score once Dickinson goes. Allen has no leading lady skills whatsoever.

She has the good rapport with all three of her of her co-stars - the nerdy kid, Michael Caine and the cop.
