Every element of Auraher facial expressions, her scantily-clad or spandex sheathed body, her seductive and alluringly-accented voiceexuded sexuality to a high degree. Additionally, in every scene to the point where Aura became good and wholesome, she behaved in a sexually ravenous and predatory manner.
All that would be impossible to see, even for a six year old. -

I was a girl when this movie was released, but I could definitely see the sexual undertones during the whole sequence.
What really freaked me about that scene was not the whipping, but the fact that dear old Daddy was watching calmly & enjoying a snack at the same time!

It was implied that Daddy didn't have access to the video, only the audio, thanks to the manipulation of Klytus.
I myself was freaked out by the tears streaming down Aura's gorgeous face, her garment ripped down the spine, and her back so badly bloodied. -

Agreed - but wasn't she actually being whipped by General Kala, supervised by Klytus? He actually stops Kala from whipping her once I don't think he never takes a swing.

Yep, Micky. The action was strictly girl-on-girl. Which - to be honest - I prefer. Kala was pretty hot too!
For the record, though Aura is weeping copiously throughout her flogging, no blood is drawn. Her back is severely welted by Kala's whip-strokes, but the skin is never broken.
Actually, I don't think Ming gave a monkey's fart WHAT Klytus and Kala were doing to his daughter. The only reason he wasn't doing it himself was because he was too busy putting down the insurrection.
