When Wendy is roaming the hotel near the climax and is seeing ghostly visions, she stumbles across a room where a costumed man is giving a blowey to another dude.
Were Kubrick/King, (I think this was included in the novel as well), wanting to prove how demonic, insidious and disgusting gay sexual activity is?
It was like really really frightening. More frightening than the cobwebbed skeletons that Kubrick must have gotten inspiration from Scooby Doo.

That was the last fucing thing on mind while watching the movie. And I've watched The Shining lots of times since I was like, 10 years old. I read the novel when I was in high school.
