and it is supposed to be the uncut version, i still want the Anchor Bay dvd though

Due for a remake? Why would you want to encourage Hollywood to be devoid of any creativity and remake yet another slasher/horror from the Eighties?
Especially slasher from the 80s which still holds up. Have you seen it lately? Those FX still look quite realistic and brutal. So yeah, I am with you here, there's no need for remake. Let them "throw" something original for a change, or at least, make something that's already seen, but threat it with more care. (khmm, like Wan treated "The Conjuring?")
If it is remade then almost certainly it won't be very good going by the recent offerings and will be hated by almost everybody (especially by the original's fans) just like The Fog and Black Christmas. Then you'll have everyone saying that there should never have been a remake!
well those don't suck because they are remakes. They suck because they are terrible movies. -

I'm sick of remakes and am usually against them on principle, but this is where I would make an exception; if this was remake they could add things not in the original like pacing and editing and complete story. I'd say it has potential.
